Football Game Preview: Dover Pirates vs. Lamar Warriors + Official Tickets

Dover hasn't had much luck against Lamar recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pirates will host the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dover is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Ozark on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Pirates were outmatched by the Hillbillies and fell 71-7. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-7.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Lamar's offense. They lost 21-0 to Mena on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Lamar now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Dover took a serious blow against Lamar in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 35-8. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Pirates were down 35-0.
