Basketball Game Preview: Highland Rebels vs. Brookland Bearcats

The Highland Rebels will venture away from home to challenge the Brookland Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Highland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

Last Thursday, Highland didn't have too much trouble with Westside as they won 55-37.

Meanwhile, Brookland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-44 heartbreaker at the hands of Gosnell. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bearcats came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Pirates are ranked 200th).

Highland has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Brookland, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.

Highland came up short against Brookland when the teams last played back in January, falling 42-32. Can Highland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
