Soccer Game Preview: Kosciusko vs. Murrah

The Kosciusko Whippets will venture away from home to square off against the Murrah Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kosciusko has five straight wins, Murrah has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Kosciusko's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Yazoo County as they made off with a 7-0 victory. Kosciusko's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Murrah's offense. They lost 7-0 to Clinton on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Murrah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Clinton are ranked third).

Murrah's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Kosciusko, their win bumped their record up to 10-7-1.
