Softball Recap: Pleasant Comes Up Short

Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Cardington-Lincoln Pirates, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Pleasant saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Staley, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Cardington-Lincoln, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Pleasant didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-2 loss against Ontario on the 22nd. As for Cardington-Lincoln, they have also already played their next match, a 4-3 victory against Centerburg on the 23rd.
