Trumbull is 8-2 against Ridgefield since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will challenge the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Trumbull is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Trumbull and Staples meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Eagles came out on top against the Wreckers by a score of 6-2.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ridgefield challenged Greenwich on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 13-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Trumbull's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Ridgefield, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Trumbull got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Ridgefield by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
