Soccer Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

If Lafayette was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Madison Central last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals fell just short of the Lexington Catholic Knights by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Lafayette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Lexington Catholic are ranked fourth).

Lafayette now has a losing record of 7-8-3. As for Lexington Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Lafayette nor Lexington Catholic have any future games scheduled.
