Baseball Recap: Centerpoint Takes a Loss

Centerpoint was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-1 to the Harmony Grove Hornets.

Centerpoint saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Centerpoint's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Harmony Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centerpoint will venture away from home to face off against Mount Ida at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matches. As for Harmony Grove, they will take on Genoa Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
