Given Winter Haven's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fifth in Florida, while Green Tech is ranked 55th in New York), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Winter Haven's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Winter Haven's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Green Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
