Soccer Game Preview: Lewis County vs. Wayne County

The Lewis County Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Wayne County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Lewis County's offense. They came up short against Richland on Monday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Lewis County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Richland are ranked 121st).

Meanwhile, Wayne County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 4-1 to Adamsville. The matchup was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Wayne County it sure didn't stay that way.

Wayne County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Lewis County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13-1.

Lewis County couldn't quite get it done against Wayne County when the teams last played back in March as they fell 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
