Volleyball Recap: Rhode Island School for the Deaf Takes a Loss

Rhode Island School for the Deaf lost against Marie Philip back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Rhode Island School for the Deaf came up short against Marie Philip, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-8, 25-11.

Marie Philip's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kai Gabriel, who had 14 aces. Those 14 aces gave Gabriel a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Danoue, who had 14 aces.

Rhode Island School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rhode Island School for the Deaf will head out to face off against Illinois School for the Deaf at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Marie Philip, they will venture away from home to take on Bancroft at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
