Basketball Recap: East Bladen Takes a Loss

East Bladen lost against Whiteville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Bladen Eagles took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whiteville Wolfpack. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Fisher was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted 14 points and six rebounds. Jamari Bellamy was another key player, putting up five points.

East Bladen's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Whiteville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Bladen will face off against West Bladen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Bladen will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something East Bladen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Whiteville, they will take on South Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Whiteville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.
