Archmere Academy faced St. Mark in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Auks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spartans, sneaking past 3-2. The game was the first time the Auks have beaten the Spartans on their court since November 6, 2018.

Archmere Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for St. Mark's, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Archmere Academy will challenge Appoquinimink at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Mark's, they will square off against Smyrna at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
