Baseball Recap: Pasco Comes Up Short

Pasco entered their matchup against Cypress Creek on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Pasco Pirates took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cypress Creek Coyotes. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Coyotes from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Pasco saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayce Rollins, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits Rollins has posted since back in April of 2024.

Pasco's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Cypress Creek, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-3.

Coming up, Pasco will be playing in front of their home fans against Gulf at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gulf is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Cypress Creek, they will face off against Lecanto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Creek is facing Lecanto at the right time seeing as Lecanto is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
