Softball Recap: Madison Falls Short Against Ranked St. Mary

Madison faced St. Mary in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Bulldogs fell 12-8 to the Cardinals. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Madison now has a losing record of 4-5. As for St. Mary, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Madison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-3 win against Dakota Valley on the 28th. As for St. Mary, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lennox at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th.
