Volleyball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 19 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-13. They lost 3-0 to Eastern Greene. The result was an unpleasant reminder to North Central of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Eastern Greene, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. They not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0).

Leading Eastern Greene to victory were Ashlynn Bellman and Kierington Wyatt. Bellman had five aces and four digs, while Wyatt had six aces. Bellman is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Shelby Ferkingstad also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central will take on Linton-Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern Greene, they will challenge South Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
