Football Recap: Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers vs. Abington Heights Comets        
        
		
             With a playoff game on the line, Hollidaysburg rose to the challenge  on Friday. They pulled ahead with  a  24-23 photo finish over the Abington Heights Comets. The Golden Tigers'  win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
  Maddox Bainey continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 93 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 175 yards and a touchdown on only 16 passes. Those 93  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.  Brady Steiner was  Bainey's top target, picking up 118 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Hollidaysburg was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 206  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Abington Heights only rushed for 84.
 When it comes to explaining why Abington Heights lost, don't look at  Shawn Theodore Jr.. Despite the final result, he threw for 206 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Theodore Jr. also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending a pass. Another player making a difference was  Shane Brower, who picked up 84 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Hollidaysburg's victory was  their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 13-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 34.7 points per game. As for Abington Heights,  with the  loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-5.
 Hollidaysburg has already played their next match,  a  48-14  defeat against Roman Catholic on the 22nd. Abington Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
