Baseball Game Preview: Tug Valley Panthers vs. East Ridge Warriors

The Tug Valley Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the East Ridge Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Tug Valley is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Wayne just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 6-5.

Tug Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Fitzpatrick, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Ridgeview hit East Ridge with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolfpack. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Wolfpack: they've now lost four in a row.

Tug Valley now has a losing record of 9-10. As for East Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Tug Valley came up short against East Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, falling 8-5. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
