North Charleston unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Battery Creek Dolphins on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Dolphins: they've now lost three in a row.

Battery Creek now has a winning record of 3-2.

The match will give Oceanside Collegiate Academy their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Battery Creek, they will challenge Hampton County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
