Softball Recap: Crook County Comes Up Short

Crook County fell victim to Mountain View and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Cougars. The game marked the first time this season in which the Cowboys were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Crook County and nudges their season record down to 3-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 3-1 Hood River Valley (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.5% over those games). As for Mountain View, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crook County will head out to square off against Baker/Powder Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mountain View, they will venture away from home to take on Hood River Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
