Hoover had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Wayne Pioneers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Hoover who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 22-25, 15-11.
Hoover can attribute much of their success to Braelyn Adkins, who had 18 digs.
Hoover's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-5-1. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13-4.
