Volleyball Game Preview: Parkway Central Colts vs. St. Louis University Junior Bills

The Parkway Central Colts will challenge the St. Louis University Junior Bills at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Parkway Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Thursday, Parkway Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Parkway West, taking the game 3-1.

Parkway Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.

Gokul Baladhandauthabani was the offensive standout of the game as he had six digs and five aces. Those five aces gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, St. Louis University faced Mehlville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Junior Bills walked away with a 2-0 win over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Junior Bills.

Parkway Central's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5-1. As for St. Louis University, their record is now 15-4.

Parkway Central might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from St. Louis University in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
