Baseball Game Preview: Littlerock Lobos vs. Eastside Lions

The Littlerock Lobos will head out to take on the Eastside Lions at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Littlerock's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Eastside's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Littlerock's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Eastside. The Lobos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Littlerock got a big performance out of Saul Orozco Jr., who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Orozco Jr. is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Johnny Borjas was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Littlerock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastside only posted an OBP of .250.

Littlerock's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eastside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-7-1 record this season.
