Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Hydro-Eakly

Hydro-Eakly picked up another tournament win on Wednesday. They took down the Washington Warriors 68-50. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bobcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Warriors are ranked 24th).

Hydro-Eakly is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Washington, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.

Hydro-Eakly won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Washington at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington, they and Newkirk will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Washington is facing Newkirk at the right time seeing as Newkirk is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
