Volleyball Recap: Pacific Ridge Gets the Win

Pacific Ridge won the last time they faced Victory Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Firebirds walked away with a 2-0 win over the Knights. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Firebirds.

Safin Zaslansky paced Pacific Ridge's offense, picking up 14 kills. Zaslansky got some help from Jake Streitman and his 22 assists. Finally, Carter Simpson kept Pacific Ridge's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin Dill, who had four digs, two aces, and one block. Brad Chier was another key player, getting five kills and five digs.

Pacific Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Victory Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-11.

Pacific Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Poway on the 25th. As for Victory Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Ramona on the 25th.
