Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Groton-Dunstable

Groton-Dunstable entered their tilt with North Middlesex Regional on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Patriots back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Groton-Dunstable walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-22, 25-11, 25-23.

Bridget Houle paced Groton-Dunstable's offense, picking up 15 kills. Houle got some help from Ella Barske and her 26 assists. Finally, Houle was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Groton-Dunstable's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for North Middlesex Regional, they moved to 10-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Groton-Dunstable will take on Nashoba Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Middlesex Regional, they will challenge South Lancaster Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
