Volleyball Recap: Garden Grove Takes a Loss

Garden Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Ocean View Seahawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Seahawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

Garden Grove was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-18.

Garden Grove's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Ocean View, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Garden Grove will take on rival Santa Ana at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ocean View is set to square off against their familiar foe Katella at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
