Malcolm faced Lakeview in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Clippers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Clippers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

While Malcolm was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20.

Malcolm's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Lakeview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Malcolm will challenge Norfolk Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lakeview, they will square off against St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
