Basketball Game Preview: Ames Little Cyclones vs. Indianola Indians

The Ames Little Cyclones will face off against the Indianola Indians at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row dating back to last season, Ames turned things around against Roosevelt on Tuesday. They strolled past the Roughriders with points to spare, taking the game 49-31. The Little Cyclones' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Indianola beat Newton 53-42 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Ames' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Indianola, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Ames came up short against Indianola when the teams last played back in January of 2016, falling 48-43. Can Ames avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
