Haskell hasn't had much luck against Hawley recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Indians will take on the Bearcats at 10:00 a.m. Haskell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Haskell had just enough and edged out Archer City 6-5. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Rebekah Cunningham was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Hawley never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Hamlin on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Pied Pipers. Considering the Bearcats have won seven matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaylee Lowe made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Averie Whitehead was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Aadi Fuentes was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Hawley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .739. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamlin only posted an OBP of .438.
Hawley's record is now 11-5. As for Haskell, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Haskell hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .380. However, it's not like Hawley struggles in that department as they've averaged .396. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
