By Stephen Spiewak Dec 15, 2014, 12:00am

The rankings continue to firm up as the season draws to a close. Texas and California have one more week of play.

Once again, Allen trailed in the second half and once again, Kyler Murray refused to lose.

The Eagles' star senior quarterback helped lead Allen to a come-from-behind victory over Skyline, 52-34, to advance to the Class 6A-I state final, and maintain the team's No. 2 spot in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

Allen will meet Cypress Ranch in the title game next week.

Other ranked teams in action next weekend include De La Salle, Folsom and Centennial in California, as well as Cedar Hill and Katy in the Texas Class 6A-II state final.
