Volleyball Recap: Maranatha Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Maranatha Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Mount View Golden Knights.

The final score came out to 25-4, 25-17.

Mount View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shiann Carter, who had six aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalyssa Short, who had four aces and three digs.

Maranatha Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mount View, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.

Maranatha Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Bluefield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mount View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Meadow Bridge on the 20th.
