Basketball Recap: West Holt Gets the Win

West Holt won the last time they faced Boyd County, and Lincoln Konrad did his part to make sure it happened again. The West Holt Huskies strolled past the Boyd County Spartans with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 62-47 thanks in part to Konrad, who posted 22 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Boyd County's loss came despite strong showings from Hudson Hoffman and Charlie Adams. Hoffman went 5 for 9 en route to 14 points, while Adams went 6 of 8 on his way to 15 points. Hoffman has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Will Nelson was another key player, putting up six points.

West Holt's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Boyd County, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

West Holt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-43 win against Elgin/Pope John on the 24th. Boyd County has also already played their next contest, a 49-47 loss against Elkhorn Valley on the 25th.
