After losing to Marina the last time they met, Los Alamitos decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Los Alamitos came out on top in a nail-biter against Marina on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-2.

Los Alamitos got a great performance from TRISTIN DALZELL as he struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). DALZELL has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Los Alamitos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ROWAN SHELLEY, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Los Alamitos has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 10-2-2 record this season. Marina dropped their record down to 8-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Los Alamitos will have a chance to go back-to-back against Marina: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
