Baseball Preview: Delaware Valley Warriors vs. West Scranton Invaders        
        
		
            The Delaware Valley Warriors will take on the West Scranton Invaders at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. West Scranton took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Delaware Valley, who comes in off a win.
While Delaware Valley's  win against Scranton Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-2  victory over the Cavaliers  on Friday. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by  exactly two  runs.

 Will Fells tossed a big game,   pitching five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits. Delaware Valley is 2-1 when  Fells allows two or  fewer  earned runs, but 1-5 otherwise.
 On the hitting side, Delaware Valley's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Trey Newton, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  run. Another  was  Frank Pedone, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
Meanwhile, West Scranton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They lost  14-8 to Riverside.
  Jake Deluca made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  RBI and one  run. He also  got a  hit, marking his first of the season.  Mason Lesh was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with two  RBI and one  run.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Delaware Valley and  bumps their season record up to 3-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for West Scranton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
 Delaware Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against West Scranton in their previous meeting  on Wednesday, sneaking past  5-3. Will the Warriors repeat their success,  or do  the Invaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
