Spring Valley is 9-1 against Irmo since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Spring Valley Vikings will face off against the Irmo Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, Spring Valley came up short against West Florence and fell 3-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Irmo unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Swansea who was credited with the win on Tuesday. Swansea got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Irmo's two.

Spring Valley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Irmo, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Spring Valley took their victory against Irmo in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spring Valley since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
