Basketball Recap: Murray County Central Takes a Loss

Murray County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-29 back in December of 2024.

Murray County Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Westbrook-Walnut Grove, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murray County Central has already played their next match (against Adrian/Ellsworth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westbrook-Walnut Grove has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Edgerton.
