Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lapel couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Sheridan Blackhawks by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Lapel lost, don't look at Layla Graham. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and two aces.

Lapel's defeat dropped their record down to 25-9. As for Sheridan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-10.

Lapel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sheridan, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Benton Central on the 25th.
