Lincoln Park had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Glenn Rockets. Winning may never get old, but the Railsplitters sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row dating back to last season.
Brittany Aune spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Emma Johnson was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Makayah Motzer, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4.
Lincoln Park will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Western International at 4:00 p.m. on April 2nd. Glenn also won't see the field for a while: their next matchup is against Dearborn at 4:00 p.m. on April 2nd.
