Softball Game Preview: Trinity Trojans vs. Timber Creek Falcons

The Trinity Trojans will face off against the Timber Creek Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Trinity picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Allen 4-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Timber Creek). They blew past Byron Nelson 15-7 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Falcons needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Timber Creek got a massive performance out of Katelyn Pegram, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Pegram has posted over her last 12 games. Cameron Stuhr was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Timber Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Timber Creek's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-1.

Trinity came up short against Timber Creek in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 5-1. Can Trinity avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
