Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Crusaders vs. East Marion Eagles
Sacred Heart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 57-50 to the East Marion Eagles. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 67-54.

Despite the loss, Sacred Heart still got an impressive performance from Raider Williams, who went 9 of 19 en route to 30 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Williams' evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Chris Posey was another key player, putting up seven points.
East Marion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brian Foxworth, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Mingo, who posted nine points and six assists.
Sacred Heart's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for East Marion, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9.
Sacred Heart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-36 victory against Salem on the 1st. East Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
