Volleyball Game Preview: Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers vs. Bremen Lions

The Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers will take on the Bremen Lions in a tournament on Saturday.

Fort Wayne Canterbury is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since August 21st on Thursday. They came up short against Whitko, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

While Fort Wayne Canterbury had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Bremen hadn't done well against Jimtown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lions came out on top against the Jimmies by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Bremen was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-27, 25-21.

Bremen's record now sits at 20-7. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

Fort Wayne Canterbury came up short against Bremen in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
