Basketball Recap: Immanuel Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from AJ Dunmyer and Maden Ponzar

Immanuel Christian lost against King Abdullah Academy back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the Immanuel Christian Warriors and the King Abdullah Academy Falcons didn't end well, with the Immanuel Christian Warriors falling 67-52. The Warriors were down 62-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Maden Ponzar and AJ Dunmyer certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ponzar posted 13 points, while Dunmyer had 12 points. Those 12 points gave Dunmyer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Mornan, who earned eight points.

Immanuel Christian's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for King Abdullah Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-17 record this season.

Coming up, Immanuel Christian will square off against Wakefield Country Day at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. King Abdullah Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
