Basketball Game Preview: Nashua-Plainfield Huskies vs. Waterloo Christian Regents

The Nashua-Plainfield Huskies will venture away from home to take on the Waterloo Christian Regents at 7:45 p.m. on Monday.

Nashua-Plainfield is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 75 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Osage on Friday. They lost 52-29 to the Green Devils. The matchup marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waterloo Christian). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging an 87-45 victory over Tripoli. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Nashua-Plainfield's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Waterloo Christian, they moved to 10-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Nashua-Plainfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Waterloo Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024, sneaking past 72-69. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nashua-Plainfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
