Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillsboro). They took down the Royall Panthers 65-46 on Thursday. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Hillsboro pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Royall, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will be home for the holidays to greet Wonewoc-Center at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillsboro has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Royall, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Royall Panthers take on the Bangor Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bangor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Royall likes a good challenge.
