Basketball Game Preview: Hartselle Tigers vs. Muscle Shoals Trojans

Hartselle is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Muscle Shoals is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hartselle Tigers will welcome the Muscle Shoals Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hartselle will be strutting in after a victory while Muscle Shoals will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Hartselle beat Austin 45-35. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Black Bears are ranked 169th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Muscle Shoals came up short against Arab on Tuesday and fell 59-46.

Hartselle is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. As for Muscle Shoals, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Hartselle was able to grind out a solid win over Muscle Shoals when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 56-44. Will Hartselle repeat their success, or does Muscle Shoals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
