Abington Heights came tearing into Thursday's match with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Scranton Knights 3-0. The Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Abington Heights' got stronger as the match went on, holding Scranton to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-13.

Shawn Theodore Jr. paced Abington Heights' offense, picking up nine kills. Theodore Jr. got some help from Ryan Horutz and his 22 assists. Chris Cummins controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Abington Heights pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Scranton, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Abington Heights will face off against Northampton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Scranton, they will challenge Lackawanna Trail at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
