Basketball Game Preview: Marshwood Hawks vs. Kennebunk Rams

Marshwood is 2-8 against Kennebunk since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Marshwood Hawks will host the Kennebunk Rams at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Marshwood came up short against Noble and fell 48-37. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Knights are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Kennebunk entered their tilt with Cape Elizabeth on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Capers as they made off with a 61-38 victory. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Kennebunk's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Marshwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
