Novato's found some homefield redemption this week after a  overtime loss to San Rafael on Friday. The Hornets blew past the Bulldogs 10-1. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Hornets this season.
 JP Harmon made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   seven  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cohen Garcia, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Dominic Scafani was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Novato  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They are 3-1 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
Novato's record is now 6-7. As for San Rafael, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
 Looking ahead, Novato will be playing in front of their home fans against Analy  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for San Rafael, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Miramonte  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
