Volleyball Recap: South Range Raiders vs. Ursuline Fighting Irish

South Range had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 9-6 to make it four. They fell just short of the Ursuline Fighting Irish by a score of 3-2. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Fighting Irish 25-19 in the first set.

Anna Toy paced South Range's offense, picking up 23 kills. Toy got some help from Addison Freedy and her 19 assists. Parker Zwingler and Haylie John kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

As for Ursuline, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 24, 2024.

South Range wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Poland Seminary on the 16th. As for Ursuline, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Cardinal Mooney on the 18th.
