Quantico extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 2-6. They lost 9-2 to the Immanuel Christian na. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the na earlier this season, when they won 10-9.
Gunner Wolfenbarker was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Jadon Orozco also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
As for Immanuel Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4. Considering they have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
On Immanuel Christian's side, Daniel Klapmust and Caleb Fiala were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Klapmust struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Fiala pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Immanuel Christian is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise. At the plate, Klapmust went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Fiala went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Fiala is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.
In other batting news, Isaac Pinkley and Clayton Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Pinkley went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run, while Miller went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Miller has posted since back in April of 2025. Owen Shumate was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quantico will square off against Seton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Immanuel Christian, they will take on Fredericksburg V on Thursday.
